This painting is part of my Memorial Park series. I live fairly close to Memorial Park in Houston Texas. That's the closest place I can go to paint on location. This painting was started in the park on a winter day and completed in my home studio. The park was under construction and the trees had lost their leaves. I thought the way the winter sun made the trees cast long lovely shadows was inspiring.
